Vincent, ambassador to INSA Lyon (French engineering school)

In addition to my responsibilities as regional manager for SPIE Communications, I also serve as an ambassador to INSA Lyon.

In this role, I’m directly involved in the various programmes the company is developing with INSA, including an agreement called “Partners Club” that allows us to work closely with the school in this sector.

This project will operate on an ongoing basis. We plan to continue hiring many interns from the school and teaching courses designed to provide young engineers with a very practical perspective of our jobs.

Ambassadors

To contact one of our ambassadors, please send an e-mail to ambassadeurs@spie.com and include the name of your school.

Innovating with SPIE Ambassadors

Preparing for the future by hiring and integrating young graduates is a key priority of the Group’s human resources policy.

In 2008, the company created the Ambassadors programme in order to:

  • Improve the quality of our partnerships with partner schools,
  • Develop lasting relations,
  • Increase awareness of SPIE and its appeal as an employer.

Who are the ambassadors and what is their role ?

They are line or support staff who participate in job fairs and workshops, usually at schools they themselves attended.

They share a common goal: attracting and recruiting talented young students by promoting SPIE, its activities and its jobs.

Our ambassadors work in tandem with a human resources manager and may, in particular:

  • Describe their job
  • Teach a course as part of the academic curriculum,
  • Organise worksite visits,
  • Explain career paths at SPIE,
  • Help set up partnerships or special events.
  • External Network
  • IT and communication systems
  • Nuclear Services
  • Facilities management
  • General electrical installations
  • Oil&Gas Services
  • HVAC engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
