Staff induction : a first vital step

This initial period, when you’re first introduced to the company and its players, will provide a wealth of information: a new environment, new way of working, new colleagues, learning about new organisations and so on.

All of these matters require early and careful preparation with the manager overseeing your induction so that you’ll be successful in your new job as quickly as possible, with all the contacts and resources you need to become fully operational as quickly as possible.

"Discover SPIE" seminar

Two days are devoted to learning about the Group, with presentations by Gauthier Louette, Group CEO; Thierry Smagghe, Human Resources Director; Jean Lucas, Sustainable Development Director; and Pascal Omnès, Communications Director.

The "Discover SPIE" seminar provides a forum for open discussion with Group executives about the company’s strategy and structure in a relaxed and friendly setting at SPIE’s head office.

Subsidiary induction programm

Orientation days are held at the Group’s different subsidiaries. New employees are introduced to SPIE executives and learn about the subsidiary’s organisation and growth strategy.

These sessions provide an excellent opportunity to start building a network.

Induction process

The programme helps you and your manager draw up the list of colleagues that you will be meeting during your first six months on the job.

These meetings will help you find your place in the organisation and will provide you with the contacts and relationships you will need to succeed in your work. In addition to these meetings, visiting some of the Group’s major worksites often proves useful in gaining a true understanding of SPIE.
