Work/study: a balance between theory and practice in a company
Work/study contracts are an excellent way to combine theory and practice at SPIE.
Every year, the Group hires a large number of apprentices with a wide range of educational backgrounds (secondary school diploma, undergraduate degree, advanced degree). All of our professions and nearly all countries in which we operate offer these great opportunities.
For many years, SPIE has been developing an ambitious policy to attract a growing number of apprentices. For example, some 970 apprentices have been working in France, at end 2011. In this country, the Group has set itself the challenge of employing 1,000 apprentices in 2012.
Contract terms are one to three years and the work/study schedule is tailored to the student’s diploma.
During their work periods at SPIE, apprentices are supervised by a specially trained mentor.
