Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
- To manage the preparation and assess the requirements for producing tenders and budgets, establishing associated costs.
- Develops rates, prices and incentive schemes for inclusion in tenders, in accordance with commercial strategy.
- To clearly communicate the different forms of contracts, their interpretation and legal requirements.
- To understand and manage the relationship between cost and programme, being able to forecast the expenditure of all project costs and manage the cash income position.
- To manage and understand and applies insurance coverage to protect the position of the Company, mitigating and managing the risks.
- To manage and have an understanding of the application of bonds, warranties and guarantees coverage to protect the position of the Company, mitigating and managing the risks.
- To negotiate and establish agrees terms and conditions for engagement and secures win-win settlements.
- To manage a team to produce commercial bids and documentation for approval of the Commercial Review Board (CBR).
- Procure and manage the appropriate resources, goods and services for the project, including the selection and engagement of suppliers, in line with budgetary provision.
- To manage and communicate to a team the principles of design and construction, and the impact on delivering cost and value solutions to clients/ customers and profitable returns to the business.
- To manage and understand the impact on risk and cover all aspects to protect the interests of self, others and the business.
